We released a new feature! Now, you can map the default Klavena categories to different categories in your chart of accounts.
This allows you to easily conform to any other accounting format you used previously, or simply to customize the way you import everything!
Here is an example of all the income/expense categories we use. You can choose different categories if you'd like! Note: This is on a marketplace level, so you can categorize differently for each marketplace.

We released a hotfix for our recently-released bank transfer feature that allows you to import your bank transfers / payouts into QuickBooks Online, so it's easier to click "match" to reconcile them.
The issue was that the settlements with a negative balance would not properly import because of a validation error on QuickBooks side: we can't create a negative transfer from a clearing account to your bank account. Thus, we fixed this by making it a positive transfer in the opposite direction: from your bank account to your clearing account!
We used to support only USD transactions in PayPal. However, PayPal supports transactions in any currency and allows you to hold a balance in any currency. These balances in different currencies can also be handled independently (such as USD auto-payout, EUR hold in PayPal)
We now support multiple currencies in PayPal. Each currency will be a different marketplace in Klavena ("PayPal" for USD, "PayPal EUR") for EUR, and each will be assigned a separate clearing account, such as ("PayPal Balance" for USD, "PayPal EUR Balance" for EUR. Transactions for each currency will be imported to their respective clearing accounts.
For Amazon Europe, some Euro settlements come in with very little data, so we cannot classify which marketplace it belongs to. We recently developed a feature that places all of these unknown settlements into a marketplace called "Amazon Unknown". You can simply select which marketplace it belongs to, and we will move it over!
We recently added a feature called "Bank Transfer", which helps you create the "Transfer" object to transfer the payout amount between your clearing account and your business checking account.
This allows you to simply click "Match" when reconciling your bank transactions within QuickBooks Online, instead of needing to select "Record as a Transfer" from the clearing account each time.
Klavena recently switched to importing sales tax into sales tax payable liability accounts instead of into income/expense accounts. This means sales tax will show up on the balance sheet now instead of P&L, and it makes it easier to see how much sales tax you owe for each sales channel.
The net effect on you and your books is very small, just a matter of categorizing sales tax slightly differently, but I'd like to help to make sure your categorization is consistent for this year. For most clients, I've already reached out and backfilled all their existing imported transactions to the new format.
